Bouchon Bas is the second house on the estate. It is a charming and sypathetic conversion of an old stone barn which was formerly used to make wine and Armagnac. With three bedrooms, two double and one twin, it can accommodate six guests.
The downstairs includes a very large open plan sitting room (and wood burner) which moves into a dining area and then round to the kitchen area. The kitchen is fully equipped with a gas oven, stovetop and grill, a washing machine, microwave and a dishwasher.
There is also a separate double bedroom and linked shower room/WC on the ground floor.
Upstairs you will find a master double en-suite bedroom and a separate en-suite twin bedroom.
Bouchon is located on what was formerly a royal hunting track, said to be where the much loved King Henri IV hunted. One can follow the path for miles through the ancient oak forests and vineyards following a small river.
In total, the grounds at Bouchon extend to around 8 acres, of which about 1.5 are used by Bouchon Bas with the rest being primarily for the use of Bouchon Haut.
The grounds include a pool (12x6m) which is shared between Bouchon Haut and Bouchon Bas.
There is a 32 inch LCD tv and bluray player. On the music side, there is a mini-hifi system.
Please note that there is no wifi at Bouchon Bas.
